I call this a step in the right direction, but we need to go further.

This will, to a degree, make Police Commissioners more accountble to the public they are protecting.

What is really needed is directly elected local Sheriffs and a sheriff's office to take over the CPS who are too lenient on criminals. This way, any Sheriffs who are too lenient on the scurge of society will be defeated at the ballot box. The public can then decide which sheriffs are doing a good job in protecting the area and reward them, whilst rejecting those who do a bad job.
This will serve to improve the local police forces and thier procedures.

Now all we need to do is cut the red tape and buraucracy the Police have to put up with - I read recently that an average police constable spends as much time filling in forms as he spends time on the beat!

Isn't it sweet irony?

At a time where the Labour Party's best campaigning asset is about to be hauled before a jury isn't it strangely ironic that the party is verging on bankruptcy? What a wonderful example of chickens coming home to roost the current shambles in the Labour Party is.

The honours bestowed to all of these rich businessmen may have bought them some short term extravagance, but now Labour are about £42million in debt, with no sign of them being able to pay them off. Imagine if Labour had have gone about accruing their campaign finance in a more appropriate way. They wouldn't be in the shit with the police and businessmen wouldn't be closing their wallets with the current gusto.

Let's be honest, the Tories were never going to win in 2001 or, for that matter, in 2005. Labour could have spent a tenth on electioneering at these two general elections and still won, such was the utter shambles of their main opponents. Lord Levy really didn't need to break the law (allegedly, of course) in order to secure a Labour government.

But now they have gone and truly fucked their chances of beating David Cameron now. Come the next election Labour may well have scraped together enough from the Unions to fight a perfunctory campaign. But with the Conservatives reputedly building up an enormous warchest it is inconceivable they would be even close to matching the Tories' spending. Labour are probably onto a hiding in 2009 or 2010 anyway, but the scale of any defeat will probably bankrupt the party.

Then they will have no alternative. With business and private contributions probably a thing of the past (and they will be when the Tories win... no-one likes backing a loser and in opposition you are classed as having totally lost) Labour will be forced to go cap in hand to the trade unions once more.

Perhaps we are seeing the death knell of New Labour.

They're fucked

The net is closing in on Tony Blair. For a second week in a row a big Labour name has been nicked by the police in connection with the 'cash for honours' scandal. This time it is a familiar name to those following this disgraceful act of constitutional theft. Lord Levy, the guy Blair used to raise the millions which elected him to high office, has been re-arrested by Scotland Yard. It is surely curtains for him, but I am sure the big prize is just round the corner.

Blair must have known about the sale of honours to those who gave his party the vast sums of money he needed to win three elections. How could he not? The question is whether he lied to the police when volunteering his knowledge last year. If he did, and it appears the police think they have found something critical with the re-arrest of Lord Levy, then he could be facing a 7 year stretch inside for perverting the course of justice.

Wouldn't that be sweet redemption for a man who claimed to be 'whiter than white' to get elected, only to be turgid in the depravity of sleaze he has bestowed onto politics.

People say that the Tories were just as bad when they were in office. Detractors point to Jeffrey Archer, Neil Hamilton, 'cash for questions', Asil Nadir. What I would say is that these were comparatively minor scandals involving minor politicians. No cabinet minister in John Major's government was ever up to their necks in as much shit as Blair and his grotesque rabble of greedy Labour cabinet ministers are now. When did Major have to answer police questions? When did cabinet ministers have to quit because they were accused of giving away passports and work visas to nannies or friendly businessmen?

No, Labour have been the equivilent of the anti-christ when it comes to virtuous public service. After spending so long moralising in the 90's they certainly deserve it. Politics has, however, taken another groundshaking body blow as the public's perception of politicians gets ever worse.

Why am I not surprised?

Another Labour hypocrit who thought the law doesn't apply to him. This time it is an MP who spent his time in Parliament sanctimoniously lecturing motorists about the evils of drink driving. He is, of course, quite right. Drink drivers are scum who put lives in danger. When convicted of being under the influence of booze drivers should have far sterner sentences meted out to them.

I do hope, therefore, that Des Turner, the Labour MP for Brighton Kemptown, gets the sort of treatment his 'campaigning' promotes. The funny thing is the wheeling out of the typical Labour excuses. He made a misjudgement... only had one glass... would have passed a blood test...

Pathetic.

Come on, John, the game's up

I have never really rated John Reid. Every position he has held in the Cabinet has been an absolute, unmitigated, disaster. When he was Party Chairman Labour was mired in sleaze (very much the same as they are today!). When he was Health Secretary billions were lost in pointless re-organisations of the NHS. When he was in Northern Ireland as the Secretary of State there devolution had to be repatriated back to Westminster as Reid was unable to sort out the sectarian squabbling. Let's not forget his stint as Defence Secretary, where soldiers were sent out to die in Iraq and Afghanistan without working radios, desert sand boots or reliable guns!

John Reid is the very epitome of incompetence.

Now he is making a right royal fuck up of the Home Office. Everything that can possibly go wrong is going wrong. The department is falling apart and no amount of brazen apologies on the telly will stop the apparent slide into total anarchy. He was right when he said that the Home Office is 'not fit for purpose', but shouldn't he have extended this damning indictment to cover himself?

He is not the right man to sort out the prisons and keep the streets safe. He should resign now and put us all out of our misery.

Chicken Cottage's Snub to the Lord Jesus Christ

‘Al Chicken Ibn Cottage’ as it should be known has had branches spinning up all over Londonabad and the UK as well as the wider muslim world. What this company periodically fails to mention is that its food is halal, however the sinister side if this Corydon based company go far deeper than that.

Chicken Cottage is now on this Bloggs ‘don’t buy, don’t advertise’ list, right alongside McDonalds and for the same dark reasons, both restaurants have been feeding halal food to millions of unsuspecting non-muslims and, just as McDonalds funds the IRA Chicken Cottage also has links to both domestic and international terror. Its founder has been linked to wealthy Saudi backers, who intern, are known funders to Islamic terror groups.

The fact that innocent people are being forced to eat halal food is scandalous. In order for food to be considered halal it must be first offered up to the muslim sand god, before its throat is cut and it left to bleed to death, now this backwards practice may have been ok while we were cave men, or amongst foreign barbarian peoples, such as in the muslim lands but in the UK animals for slaughter should be stunned first before being humanely killed, once again the government issues one set of rules for one people and turns a blind eye to an other. ‘The brain is instantaneously starved of blood and there is no time to start feeling any pain,’ Quotes muslim council of Great Britain, well how would they know I wonder? But then again I suppose that if any group of people are to be qualified on throat cutting it would be the muslims!

I’m righting this because I‘m yet to see or heat any of our greasy dreadlocked far left animal liberation friends challenge this un-natural practice, as is to the eternal shame of the left as usual.

Another aspect of this company that I find deeply distasteful is the way it uses advertising to lure in unsuspecting non muslims to eat its foul cursed meat, a trip on the chicken cottage web site will illustrate what I mean. After opening
http://www.chickencottage.com/welcome.html go past the ‘kidz stuff’ propaganda section to the ‘franchise’ section, then click on ‘radio/TV ads’. There are three radio ads you can listen too, THE ONLY ONE THAT MENTIONS THAT THIS FOOD IS HALAL IS THE FIRST ONE WHICH IS IN A FOREIGH LANGUAGE!!! Not only that but the second one and the third adverts use CHRISTIAN FESTIVALS to sell their pagan products!!! As if that wasn’t bad enough the third advert futures three kings and Jesus Christ to sell halal food, I wonder what would happen if I were to open a Christian restaurant and advertise it via a mocking advert of muhammad? The terms Danish cartoons and Trafalgar Square instantly spring to mind. However, even though I am outraged I will do as the good Lord has instructed and turn the other cheek at this blatant attack upon the British way of life.

People we need to be smart, keep our eyes open, Britain is changing and we need to be ever more vigilant of those around us. So I’m asking you all to spread the word, to tell your friends that if they eat at chicken cottage then they are eating cursed chicken that has been sacrificed to the muslim god of sand, chicken that has been tortured to death and that part of their money has gone to fund international and domestic terror. Thanks to Lion Hart for his sterling work on this subject, we have all been warned!!!

Hillary Clinton - yes please!

Excellent news coming through from the US political scene. It appears that the Democrats will have the frontrunner for their nomination definately contesting the primaries after Hillary Rodham Clinton announced her intention to run. I am delighted with this news.

Hillary Clinton spent much of her time as First Lady to husband Bill making countless enemies, not just on the political Right either. Moderates dislike her shrill tone, her naked ambition to be president and the sickening use of power whilst at the White House she had neither earned through election or qualified for in talent.

She is a mediocre politician who has limited speaking and personal skills. Should the Democrats be stupid enough to elect her as their candidate (and let's be honest, anyone who thinks John Kerry could become president is surely somewhat dim) then the White House will stay in Republican hands for another two terms.

Bill Clinton was a politician, and a very successful one at that. Whether you agreed with his politics or not (and I certainly didn't) you couldn't argue that he was a formidable operator. He was a winner, someone who could inspire confidence from across the political spectrum. His wife is non of these. She is a dreadful political operator; someone who flip-flops on major issues so often she makes Kerry look like a conviction politician. Her voting record as New York Senator is far more liberal than the accepted norm of mainstream America. In short, she is a loser with terrible political judgement.

McCain, Giuliani, Romney or Gingritch will be salivating at the prospect of facing her should they gain the Republican nomination.

Fast Food Terror

For those of you who don't know, Chicken Cottage is fast food chain selling halal meat and is known as the Muslim fast food restaurant.

I was walking past Chicken Cottage the other day and it was empty (as usual) but then I suddenly notice that they had computers in this branch. I started thinking 'why do they have computers?'. I mean McDonalds doesn't have computers neither does Burger King, KFC or any other fast food company.

It then became obvious to me that the people entering Chicken Cottage and eating the cursed halal meat are Muslim and therefore it is very possible that they are terrorists and they use the computers so they can communicate with their terrorist colleagues without the fear of being traced via the IP address, (a problem these evil people would face if they were using their personal computer).

Lets be honest about this, we live in a dangerous world where these terrorists want to destroy us and then Islamify what is left. We must stop this!! That means, we the decent law abiding citizens of the world must try to put this terrorist organisation out of business. And when you next walk past a branch of Chicken Cottage remember to look in because the person at the computer could be the next Bin Laden.

Islam - The Truth

Hello everybody, today I'd like to talk to you all about Islam. Now I’ve been reading the Bible recently and decided that prophase, instead of just blogging about the dangers of islam i should actually talk to some young British muslims themselves about what it means to be a Muslim in the UK today and in which direction they think Islam is going to. I decided that I would use this opportunity to allow this sometimes misrepresented minority to have a voice, to give them the chance to call it as they see it. I'm afraid I have to tell you all now that what I fund out has deeply disturbed me and I’m sure it will leave you quite shaken too.

I decided to log on to one of the most popular mainstream youth sites, ‘Chat Islam’ (http://www.chatislam.com/), where young adult British muslims often congregate, its meant to be for them to chat about 'youth issues' such as the pop charts or football, indeed there is a warning before you go in asking you not to talk about religion or politics, no doubt placed there by worried islamic elders to protect their young from radicalisation by al-Qaeda. (القاعدة)

So I started by asking them about the currant hot religious political topic, the demand for the new islamic Caliphate by Tablighi Jamaat (تبليغي جماعت,)

Constantine: hey is it true you guys want a caliphate from Spain to China?
MujahidUK: anyway
MujahidUK: Constantine
MujahidUK: the khalifat is coming
MujahidUK: allah hoo
MujahidUK: allah hooamani: in egypt it is
MujahidUK: wait
MujahidUK: yaseen
Constantine: why don’t you eat pork when god made pigs?
Yaseen: mawla yassalli wassali dahi man abadan
MujahidUK: Constantine
MujahidUK: the simple answer toi ur queston is
MujahidUK: its a commandment by allah
MujahidUK: yeah sadia
MujahidUK: insha allah
Yaseen: theword Allah shud be in capitals
sadia_K: Allah*
Constantine: allah or muhammed, not the same thing
Constantine: you'd be a lot happier if you were Christian
Constantine: for a start you could have a drink
sadia_K: nah not really constanine
Constantine: and stop being all angry all the time
aisha hayat: i was christian NOW im alot happier :)
Yaseen: HEY DID EVERYONE FINISHED WITH ASAR PRAYERS?
aisha hayat: thats the english/christian mans answer to everything alcohol lol
constantine: aisha hayat, you are in big trouble, you’d better come back or go to hell
Yaseen: feel like i am uncivilised when asking
MujahidUK: has anyone heard of the poem of the mantle
Yaseen: brb
amani: what??
MujahidUK: qasidah burdah
yousuf: Constantine u better read about pigs meat in medical book
saisha hayat: lol i came to islam because i want to go heaven
aisha hayat: no use explaining to you let Allah do that on the day of judgement
yousuf: then u will come to know why it is prohibited
MujahidUK: ill point u to a wonderful nasheed
constantine: by following the anti-Christ you will not go to heaven
MujahidUK: ignore him
amani: i will
aisha hayat: lol i cant belive i was christian how deluded they all are
MujahidUK: www.youtube.com
MujahidUK: type in
MujahidUK: qasidah burdah
MujahidUK: by memut kurtis

I think as many of you will all agree, most disturbing. It is clear that this is proof that the muslims want to take over Europe and declare the UK an islamic emirate, I entered this dialogue with our islamic youth with a genuinely open mind, I'm now left shaken to the core by what I’ve seen and herd tonight, I’m sure you all are too. The task ahead of us is clear, we need to protest our homeland and out children, but how we do it in a state where you can be dragged before a judge and jury just for recognising this barbarian expansionist sand faith, which is bent on the destruction of civilization, as 'wicked' I don’t know. I just hope we have all learned something from this tonight.

Labour cheek on the Union

Watching Question Time on the Beeb tonight has made my blood boil. Labour are persuing the attack on the Tories, accusing them of seeking to fracture the Union between England and Scotland.

What a cheek this is coming from a party that has done so much terrible damage to this 300 year historic marriage between these two proud nations. Labour forced the Scottish Parliament onto the Union, without calling for a referendum on the issue with every member of the UK (as they, constitutionally, should really have done). The Scottish Parliament has forged an unprecedented increase in the flames of Scottish nationalism. The Scots now have a sniff of self governance (something which English voters have not had) and now they want more.

North of the border the SNP have latched onto this in the sort of opportunistic way one would expect of a bunch of power hungry socialists. The Scottish Parliament has taxed and spent in such a profligate way that there has been an enormous 'brain drain' down south to England which has the unavoidable consequence of leaving the dumb, intellectually-light half breed remaining. These idiots have no recognition of how bad independence would be, but seem to believe that just because Mel Gibson painted the Saltaire on his face and slit a few extras throats (artistically, of course) in a Hollywood movie then Scotland should listen to the nationalists who are, rhetorically, doing pretty much the same.

Labour have crucified the Union over the last 10 years. Scottish devolution has failed miserably because English taxpayers are massively subsidising the Scots! Look at the Scottish Parliament costs themselves!! Ten times more expensive than originally budgeted for. Look at the resentment of English voters at the scandal of Scottish MPs being able vote on English matters, but English MPs not having any say in the Scottish Parliament!

No, Labour do not have any moral right to throw their weight, and accusations, around with their horrendous record of damage done to this proud nation.

Big Brother - Who the fuck cares?

I give less attention to Big Brother than I do to the turds flushing down my toilet. BB is the most pathetic excuse of a reality programme I have ever had the misfortune to suffer watching. What a shame that so many people are buying into what they read in trashy newspapers about racism directed towards an Indian actress.

Surely there are far greater news issues occupying peoples thoughts than some fat slapper trying to be clever taking the piss out of someone she is jealous about being extremely better looking than her? What about inflation soaring, or criminals escaping from prisons, or soldiers being killed in Iraq?? Why on earth are we looking at our news-stands choc full of headlines dominated by Big Brother, when so much else is happening in the world?

Could it be that in another week of dreadful news, both at home and abroad, the Labour Party are wanting to shift the debate and dump the bad news from front pages to avoid continuing the obvious embarrassment this dispicable government is going through?

Happy 65th 'Muhammad'

Today I would like to wish Muhammad Ali a happy 65th Birthday, how ever I think this mans tale has messages for all of us today. 'I am the greatest' claims Muhammad Ali, undoubtedly he was a very good boxer, but as Jesus our lord, and the real last prophet said, 'Blessed are the meek', Meek Ali is not, neither is he blessed. Due to his turning to the foul prophet if islam, away from the love of God, and his constant jibing of the Christians has meant that this once great fighter has been struck down with the Shaking Disease which ironically enough means that while he continues to think of himself as the greatest, even a non boxer could now kick his ass in the ring, oh how the mighty have fallen I thought to my self, and there is no greater fall than the fall that pride (one of the 7 deadly sins) can induce. As the muslims say, الله أكبر الحمد لله
'Praise be to allah, allah is great.' Well the real God is indeed great and just, unlike this pagan sand deity 'allah', and has once again proven his power over all men, muslims and liberals reading this, you have been warned!!!

While I was talking this matter over with a friend he was concerned that I was using his muslim name of 'Muhammad Ali' instead of honoring the name his parents gave him, while this may be another attack if his ego I have decided to refer to him as 'Muhammad', this is a rule that I will apply to all 'muhammidan' converts.

While I'm always careful to separate religion from culture, indeed I am a fan of Arab culture and there are over 25 million Arab Christians (most living in South America, but the terrible reasons for this will be the subject of another blog at a later date). I think that it is important that if you are going to turn away from God and to embrace the anti-Christ then you should mark your self as such by taking its name, this will also aid the CIA when they do terrorist checks on plane passengers and warn others to ignore what ever these mad men have to say. So even though these 'Al Muaallafun kulubuhum' or Islamic converts, in their attempts to annoy us and cause hurt to their families and friends are actually doing us a favor.

In a similar way I believe that if a person decides to abandon the sand deity and its false witness and embrace the Lord Jesus then they should take up a Latin name, for their own safety and to distance them selves from the heinous and wicked acts of their former compatriots. However as I’m not an Islamic fascist I would not choose to force them to do this. Although it is rare to find converts to the right path offered by Jesus, if we do find them its always in little pieces stuffed in to suit cases and abandoned on Yorkshire's moors, as is the deadly price of turning away from 'the allah'.

Inflation going through the roof

Today has surelty smashed the illusion that Labour are compentent with the economy. The Consumer Price Index, which is the government's prefered measure of inflation, has registered another increase; it now stands at 3%. This is well above the 2% target set by Gordon Brown, but this only tells half the story.

The Retail Price Index, which everyone else really measures inflation, is up to a whopping 4.4%, the highest in 15 years. Why is it that we are given the 3% figure by the government instead of the 4.4%? Well, Gordon Brown shifted the focus about 3 years ago to convert the headline inflation to CPI rather than the naturally higher RPI. Undoubtedly this was done so the silly inference of having a continually lower rate could be retained.

Fiddling the figures is something Labour do very well; crime stats are regularly manipulated. However when the economy is suffering so badly I would hope people could see through the spin and realise that Gordon Brown is not the economic genius he is portrayed as being.

Islam Is A Joke!

What a joke the religion of Islam is! I read on the BBC News website today how a court in Casablanca, Morocco have given 'their own' journalists suspended sentences and a fine for defaming Islam and breaching public morality. This occured when the journalists Driss Ksikes and Sanaa al-Aji published an article in journalists' weekly magazine Nichane, entitled 'How Moroccans laugh at religion, sex and politics'.

The journalists argue that the jokes are in common usage however the court still banned the publication of the magazine for two months and fined the journalists $8,000 (£4,000). Even though this case is pure lunacy I can't help but wonder what would happen if these journalists were Westerners, they probably would have fatwas issued against them or be beheaded.

Anyway this court case is just another example how Islam tries to restrict free speech and shows what a joke this sand religion really is.

Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/6262919.stm

More shifting the blame

Labour never seem to be able to take responsibility for their own actions, do they? So often we see them try to finger other people, usually unelected, for their own misdemeanours. Look at some prior examples; Dr David Kelly committed suicide after being blamed for the dodgy dossier, Martin Sixsmith was forced out after the government leaked an email of his to bury some bad news and who can forget the disgraceful way Labour tried to smear 94-year old Rose Addis as being a racist when the media published stories of how poorly she was treated by the NHS?

They are at it again. Instead of copping the flak for making such a fucking shambles of the current scandal surrounding Briton's foreign criminal records not being updated the Home Office, through their ministers, have stitched up the non-elected bureaucrats. It doesn't seem to matter that ministers knew about this debacle through being briefed by the police, they just will not take responsibility for the mess.

So it doesn't surprise me one little bit that the mandarins in the Home Office are shouldering the flak. It emerges today that a senior civil servant has been suspended following an 'internal inquiry'. Yeh right, pull the other one! It is obvious what has happened. John Reid, the disgraceful excuse for a Home Secretary, has looked at who had access to the briefing notes and found the only non-political name on the list.

Such disreputable behaviour is now becoming a cancer in politics. It is no wonder that people don't want to vote in elections any more when they see such horrendous dereliction of duty and responsibility.

Stop Apologising To The Muslims

I read on the BBC website today that Germany’s interior minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has called for an EU-wide dialogue with Muslims in an effort to integrate them better. Mr Schaeuble has compared parts of the Islamic world to pre-Enlightenment Europe, and criticised both the burka veil and traditional Muslim attitudes to women, which is fair enough.

But what I take issue with is what he said next "We should not be arrogant but only helpful. After all, Christianity waged terrible conflicts for a few centuries until the process of Enlightenment took root". CHRISTIANITY WAGED TERRIBLE CONFLICTS?? There is no doubt that he was referring to the Crusades but Mr Schaeuble makes it sound as if it was Christianity’s fault for the Crusades.

Don’t get me wrong Mr Schaeuble is a hero. He was one of the few German politicians to support the United States liberation of Iraq. However my gripe (which is clear to see in what he said) is how we in the West feel it is necessary to apologise for the Crusades or see our current struggles with the Muslims as Christianity’s fault. Let’s get one thing clear, the Crusades was a war of self defence against the Muslim aggressors.

However despite this, the culture of apologising to the Muslims, for which the politically correct left are to blame, still continues today. Just look at the 7/7 bombings in London. Instead of people (especially on the left) saying ‘damn these filthy Muslims worshiping their fictitious sand god and heaping misery on the entire world’ they instead say ‘oh poor Muslims, they are acting like this because of Iraq’.

What these people forget is that the Iraqi liberation is a direct result of the terrorist attack on New York on September 11th 2001. However people forget this and the reason for this is because the West is losing the propaganda war to the Muslims. There are two reasons for this; the first is that the Muslims have the ability to act like the victims of a conflict even if they themselves started the conflict and the second reason is that the liberal media in the West are reinforcing the Muslims position as victims instead of telling the truth and supporting our troops.

More troops in Iraq

I am going to go against the grain of public opinion, and that of the Conservative Party, by totally endorsing what President Bush is proposing to do in Iraq. By sending in an extra 21,000 troops to secure Baghdad Mr Bush is sending out a clear signal to those wishing to prolong the insurgency there. He is declaring his hand with force and confidence.

For those who believe 21,000 is not enough it should be noted that the caveat secured by the President was for Iraqi forces to support US troops to the tune of over 35,000 men. I honestly believe that an immediate and determined deployment of an extra 56,000 troops should secure the Iraqi capital. What is needed, however, is a major rethinking of what is needed to radically alter the cycle of violence and killings.

My view is that the US should move into Sadr City as soon as they can to deal with Moqtada al Sadr. This egotistical cleric, who has such a big head he named an entire district of Baghdad after him, needs to be taught a lesson. His slums are populated by radicalised Shia militia who have nothing to lose by sniping dead innocent residents in the Iraqi capital. They represent a stumbling block to peace and should be taken on.

This is undoubtedly make or break for President Bush. If this gamble works he will be hailed as the ultimate 'Comeback Kid' president by turning around his popular fortunes. If it fails things could get unbelievably ugly both in Iraq and for the Republicans in America.

Just how bad can it get at the Home Office?

Today has been dominated by two fairly major scandals eminating from the Home Office. The first is the news that two rather dangerous (and morbidly obese) murderers have escaped from a prison supposedly categorised as being 'excellent'. This comes a couple of days after a prisoner was freed by masked assailants from a police 'security' wagon as he was transported to hospital.

What a shambles. It puts the old days of Group 4 escapes into the shadows.

The second shocking scandal to befall this shambolic excuse for a government department is todays revelation that ministers knew about the hundreds of Britons who committed crimes abroad. These rapists, paedophiles and assorted other miscreants have been permitted to work in this country. They might be working with patients, kids, vulnerable people - we just don't know! What a dreadful scandal; but should we be surprised that it is happening? I'm not.

John Reid is perhaps one of the most inept cabinet minister Labour have. I am astonished that he gets all the big jobs. At health he left a system where health trusts were teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. When he was defence secretary our troops in Iraq had no decent boots, radios or even guns! At Northern Ireland he was forced to dissolve the Stormont parliament because he couldn't keep control there and his other major position, as Labour chairman, was marked by the increasingly bitter feuding between numbers 10 and 11 Downing Street.

Not exactly a sparkling reputation. Yet this man is charged with protecting the public from dangerous criminals. Thankfully one of our better performers, David Davis, is tearing lumps out of the Labour front bench. What's the betting, however, that no resignations result from this?

Gruesome Saddam post-death footage

Yes this is one of the more tasteless postings I have blogged, but I thought you should see yet another example of how utterly barbaric these Arabs are in Iraq. Sadly this slating hasn't come from the elected politicians we would expect to be on hand to expose such double standards, it has been through the pages of national newspapers.

ConservativeHome is reporting that The Sun, through it's leader, has criticised Kelly's decision to send her child to a fee paying private school for special kids. They slam her, accusing the former Education Secretary as being a "fully fledged, ocean-going, two-faced hypocrite". Reading this on ConservativeHome was a little bit of a relief, because it finally presented me with the opportunity to see some form of Conservative outlet articulating my views.

David Cameron has distanced himself from the criticism, doubtless attempting to position himself as being warm, cuddly and representative of those who just want to do the best for their kids. It appears DC has temporarily taken leave of understanding just who he is. I am a small league politician (a local councillor) so I am totally at liberty to play the caring sharing card. I can see what Ruth Kelly's motivations are, but the simple fact of the matter is that she is part of a government that has led a concerted attack on anything outside state-funded education. They abolished the Assisted Places Scheme (which gave parents from all backgrounds the opportunity to send their kids to places like where Kelly has sent hers, without having to mortgage the house to afford the £15k a year fees) and worked tirelessly to find new ways of taxing us so they can pump billions into the State system. Mr Cameron is the leader of the opposition. He should be standing up to the government and exposing this hypocrisy, just as I would criticise my local council if they spent money on something that they had worked so hard to denigrate. It is his job!

Back to the core issue: What has all this money got us in this country? Well the cash soaked education sector is still unable to be trusted by Ms Kelly, a tantamount admission of utter failure by her government to deliver decent standards. The same is true of the NHS.

I just wish our national politicians had the guts to expose this. I desperately hope Cameron can start scoring some goals with the total shambles emanating from this government on an almost weekly basis. In my view he has missed an open goal here.

Startling new Labour hypocrisy

Over 100 special schools have been closed by this fucking awful excuse of a government. They say that their intention is to drag standards in education up to those of private and public institutions. That is why they got rid of Grammar Schools and squeezed the conditions for private fee-paying schools to such an extent as to seriously impede their ability to churn out the sort of talented scholars needed to be the next generations captain's of industry, or scientists or, heaven forbid, Labour cabinet minister.

So with this concerted assault on education, particularly for special needs pupils, it is somewhat astonishing that the former education secretary Ruth Kelly has joined the likes of Charles Faulkener and Harriet Harman in deciding to send her kids to a school she, and her government, is trying to prevent others from using. She is railing against her own ideology.

Surely if after 10 years in government the State sector is in such a depressed condition that even cabinet ministers have little faith in it the time has come to admit to their socialist failures.

Saddam's toast... Iraq rejoices - part 2

Ok now he has been hung. I saw the pictures on YouTube (you know, the ones from that mobile phone which actually sees his swing) and I have heard the bleating from the likes of Prescott, Blair and Brown. They claim that the killing and manner of how Hussain was taunted before he died was 'wrong' and 'deplorable'. I disagree entirely.

I will be the first to admit that I was a little jittery about watching another human being executed, that is surely only natural. I was nonplussed about the shouting and taunts aimed at Saddam as he waited to die - I couldn't understand a word they said. I was actually rather intimidated by the rasping, gruff indignation of the dictator as he answered his critics. What I did think about, though, were the hundreds and thousands of totally innocent civilians who were gassed and summarily executed during his reign, and at his behest, for simply having a difference of opinion to him. These women and children had no trial, they enjoyed no last meal before being put to a death far crueler and much more painful than the swift compound fracture of the spinal vertabrae.

So for all those who venture opinions regarding this man's execution I would ask that you think about all those who's deaths were not subject to the rule of law and remember why this vile dictator was sentenced to death in the first place.

<link rel='related' href='http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6238741.stm' title='Saddam's toast... I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year break but the fight is back on with the forces of Blair-ism. Brown-ism is all set to follow but before then we have to keep slating this foul excuse of a government for the numerous failures perpetrated under Tony Blair.

I despise Labour totally. I want to see them beaten but we really need to make sure we don't have a pale imitation taking over. What will David Cameron do this year? He spent most of 2006 insulting conservatives (note the small 'c') in order to reposition the Conservatives. He lost some members to UKIP and the large pool of no party affiliation but gained thousands more. He has made us seem more appealing to those who have lost patience with Labour, but much more needs to be done.

This year several policy commissions, established by Cameron after winning the leadership contest, are due to report back. The first one of these, about tax and spending, was pretty much disregarded last year, despite having a fine small government theme running through it. If Cameron is to have any respect from the voting public he MUST take the advice of the experts chairing these commissions. That may mean tough choices, but we have got to get rid of Labour and start fixing this country and it isn't going to happen with more of the same failed liberal policies.

The Tebbit Test in all it's glory

Being an English cricket fan is a tricky business right at the moment. As I write this a few thousand miles away the English cricket team has lost their grip on the Ashes they won merely 15 months earlier. The triumphs of 2005, along with the associated hysteria, has been totally thrown away after 5 Test matches of utter mediocrity from our boys down under.

But in this sea of total failure there is one ray of light giving English fans considerable heart. This player didn't make the first two Tests, despite being our leading wicket taker from the summer series in England. He is a special player and very proud to represent his country. In fact, in a magazine interview before flying off for Australia he claimed that it was the greatest honour he could be bestowed with competing for his home nation. It isn't Giles or Bell or any other English sounding 'stars'.

The outstanding finger spinner Monty Panasar has totally revolutionised the old assumptions surrounding cricketers. Before it was generally assumed they were ex public schoolboys who, more than likely, spent their junior years in all-boys schools fiddling with each other in the showers. Asian cricketers in the Bradford leagues were all Tendulkar fans, or spent their money on the green Pakistan shirts. They were British by immigration, yet asian through cricketing patronage. Many of them used the British NHS, earned a living by being employed in British firms and were educated in British schools. Yet when it came to supporting the country in sport they threw their weight behind our opponents, many actually celebrating English defeat more passionately than their own chosen team's success.

Norman Tebbit came up with one of the better known patrotism tests. He surmised that if you couldn't bring yourself to support the country which has supported you then your right to be considered British should be revoked. I have always supported this and it warms the heart to see players like Panesar and Nasser Hussain aquit themselves so spectacularly well in their cricketing endeavours. Their names may not sound English, but next to losers like Anderson or Read they are giants. If only those who owe as much to this country as Monty Panesar had his patriotic verve for this country we may not have quite so much trouble with radical Islam.

We'd still be shit at cricket though.

Ruining the Economy

The CBI has brought into the limelight the fact that public sector workers are currently paid, unjustly, 15% more than private sector workers. Ridiculous, I’m sure you would agree!

When we consider that 1 in 5 people are [unnecessarily] employed by the public sector, and that public sector pay accounts for over a quarter of all public spending, we can start to see the massive waste of our hard earned taxes.

Total spending in the 2006 Budget was £552Billion, so if we simply brought all public sector employees pay in line with the market levels, a saving of around £27.6Billion could be made.

Another result of these artificially high wages is that the best talent is being lured into the public sector and away from the jobs that can positively affect the economy in the private sector.
This Labour government is damaging the economy just as much as any previous Labour government.

The private sector could be better trusted to run many of the operations our tax is wasted on and give a better price for it too. The savings made could even plug the hole in public sector pensions (up to £1Billion) AND pay our national annual council tax bill (£22Billion)!

This is just the surface of the waste in the ‘New Labour’ system.

Scumbag Labour councillor exposed

I have always enjoyed reading Labour blogs. The level of intellectual reasoning is so dire that it makes me chuckle out loud! As for the sentiments expressed, well let us be frank, they are pretty inconsistent.

However, the prize for biggest twat goes to a nonety from somewhere called Sandwell. His name is Cllr Bob Piper and his drivel-full blog has been running for some time. Readers of this, far superior, website will recall the disgust I showed towards that cringeworthy YouTube contribution from Sion Simon. On this he attempts to lampoon David Cameron's 'Webcameron' site by doing some turd of an effort himself. Cue some desperate attempt to remove the offending video, not before general ridicule from everyone.

I always thought there were more total c*nts in the Labour Party so egotistical to get attention as that prick Simon, and I have been proved right!

It appears as though Cllr Piper thought a spoof of David Cameron's 'Sort It' website (another somewhat tedious effort aimed at highlighting personal debt) displayed on an annonymous blog was worthy of being published on, er, his personal blog.

The spoof shows Cameron under the 'Sort It' banner having been blacked up like a minstrel. Several speech bubbles are illustrated coming out of his mouth phrasing several comments which are very near to the knuckle and, in some cases, outright racist.

He claims that it was a joke and an attempt to highlight Cameron's apparent hypocrisy when it comes to the Tories' attempt to attract black and ethnic voters. The problem is that he is causing the Labour Party some serious headaches of their own. You must remember this. There are countless other examples of how misguided, yet largely innocent, Conservatives have been hounded out of elected office by the hysterical rantings of politically correct Labour and Lib Dem politicians eagre to make a quick political buck.

Labour are now faced with the boot being on the other foot. Will they follow their own sanctimonious lead by suspending this buffoon, or will they do the hypocritical thing and let him get away scot free?

Whatever happens it is so satisfying to see Labour reap what they sow. Political correctness has bitten them on the arse.

Cameron is a year old today

Well, his tenure as Tory leader is. Like any one year old he is still fumbling around, trying to figure out just what this new world is all about. He had had the odd 'accident', in Cameron's case this is a load of shit photo opportunities and quite horrid incidents of vomit stained flirtings with the Grand High Witch of dumb liberalism, Polly Toynbee.

Every one year old is cooed at by people who don't really know them. Cameron is surely the same. No-one really knows what he is like of how he will turn out, they just see a fresh faced thing with pretty much a blank canvass behind him. This is all about growing up, and at one year old you have not done much of it.

The important years of growth, as anyone will tell you, is between the first and third birthday. By then there should have been some sizable diffences in perception. You should be beginning to think about crawling and then walking and you may just hear a coherant word or two.

Cameron has spent a year being cute and cuddly. People like him and the people who he is with. The BIG challenge for him now is to start growing from a blank canvass to something more substantial. Next year people should like Cameron for what he says, not what he looks like.

After being molly-coddled by PR gurus and spin doctors it is time for the real David Cameron to step forward.

Religious Courts Are Wrong

I was disgusted to see on Tuesday (28th November) that the idea of religious courts and in particular Islamic courts in the UK, are going to hear more criminal cases. I was even more disgusted to see that there is a Somali court in the UK that already hears criminal cases.

May I remind the muslims (because lets be honest it usually is muslims who don’t respect other countries laws) that if you live in the UK you have to obey the law of the land not some ridiculous, sadistic, Islamic law such as the inferior sharia law!!!

Then Aydarus Yusuf who is originally from Somalia but has lived in the UK for the past 15 years had the nerve to say that he feels more bound by the law of Somalia then he does by the law of the UK. I mean who does this man think he is??? If that’s the way he feels then why doesn’t he go back and live in Somalia?

I will tell you why. It’s because our government, police force and courts are too gutless to punish a muslim when he has committed a crime. Mr Yusuf knows this and that’s why he has stayed in the UK. Also he can take advantage of our overly generous welfare system something they don’t have in Mr Yusuf’s Somalia.

Anyone who argues that these courts are needed because of multiculturalism ARE WRONG!!! Multiculturalism in the western world has failed just look at 9/11 in New York, the train bombings in Madrid and 7/7 in London. The way forward is Norman Tebbit’s ‘Cricket Test’ and assimilation.

Let’s make no mistake here. The laws of the United Kingdom are sovereign in this country and they are the ONLY laws that should be obeyed.

Who's the tosser?

Conservatives are strange creatures. We are supposed to be the guardians of tradition and family values. We should be the party of economic prudence and sound money. So it is a little bit of a shock when we read that these two rather distinct worlds have apparently collided.

According to recent Tory output we are all 'tossers' for getting into debt. Now, readers of this website (all 54 regulars!) will know that we don't really mind being crude in our language. In fact we fucking love it! But to have the official opposition wheel out such a vulgar wrod to describe people who have a habit of reaching for the credit card is distasteful and, if I were to be honest, quite below the standard I would expect from a serious political party.

Perhaps it is just siple gimmicary. Maybe we are trying to give the chavvish impression that todays Conservative Party is as thuggish as the pricks who generally use this language. If that is the case then we may have motivated a few thousand Kappa slappers to vote for us, but at what cost?

Are we becoming the ultimate of dumbed down politics?

Prison is a place for people who have a problem obeying the law!!!

I've just finished watching 30 Days on More 4. For those who are not aware of who it is written by I'll enlighten you. It's author and 'star' (if you can call him that) is film maker and arch Liberal Morgan Spurlock. In this particular episode Spurlock spent 30 Days in a Virgina Prison. You can probably guess how the show went.......... Just quite how Morgan Spurlock has been allowed to find an international platform for his Liberal views is quite astounding. No wonder the world is in such a mess when people like this are allowed to air their views.

Prison is a place for people who have a problem with abiding by the laws of society. Those who commit crimes do not deserve to 'see a tree' or have a shit in private. Prison is a punishment not a holiday. I for one am glad that America still has a justice system which delivers just that justice. The Liberals have already hijacked the UK system lets not see the same happen in America. However, I for one am not optimistic, following last week's results in the mid-terms, i'm sure we'll be seeing mints on the pillows of prisoners before we know it.

God help us all

Why not join our team?

Everyone with an ounce of common sense knows that the right way to think in this country is Right of centre (and quite a bit Right of centre in some cases!). This country is being governed through a sick consensus of metropolitan liberals and do-gooders who have absolutely no regard for what is actually happening.

Since I started this blog we have 3 new commentators signed up. This is great but I want more! If you have issues you want to get off your chest, annonymously of course, then sign up and use Right is right as your platform.

The only qualification is that you have a healthy anglo-saxon vocabulary and know how to fucking use it. You don't have to be a member of the Conservative Party (let's face it, they aren't being tremendously conservative at the moment). You do need to have a brain and some perspective of life in Blair's Britain. Being a neo-con is not an essential qualification, but does help. You mus despise Hillary Clinton though!

If you fancy being part of this growing blog, email me on right_is_right@hotmail.co.uk

Was it really all worth it?

I've been taking a good look at what we are commemorating today. It is 88 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war which was supposed to end all wars. We fought that one after an errant, interbred Kaiser felt over ambitious envy towards the British Empire and used the assassination of a minor archduke to trigger off this war. Territory and an overblown ego cost the lives of over 15 million brave servicemen. In one battle alone, the Somme, nearly half a million British men, some no older than the teenage scumbags who broke the two minutes silence at my local cathedral service on Friday, died.

I must admit to having thoughts of a rather ungenerous nature this weekend. I have watched the programmes dramatising the exploits of WW1 soldiers and seen what they went through to defend the principles of freedom and democracy. I hope they are looking down with pride as we remember them, but will they also be feeling somewhat bemused by what has become of this country?

I started this blog off so I could vent some gas at what I consider to be wrong with our nation. Millions of our citizens have died so we can enjoy freedom and live in peace, yet we are seeing pictures on our television screens on an almost daily basis of 'demonstrations' in London and elsewhere of people brandishing banners and placards urging violence and threatening those who do not conform to hardcore Islamic standards.

I find it insulting to the memory of those who stood up for freedom against a murderous Kaiser and a facist dictator that this country even allows those people to walk amongst us. It is truly degrading to their glorious sacrifice that all they have fought for seems to be unravelling before our eyes, as people who are now classed as British, who are born, brought up, schooled and supported by the state can make attemps to pervert the society we all live in and twist their own hatred into violence against, supposedly, their own people.

On a day when we remember all that is wonderful about this great country of ours we should also be reminded of a form of cancer that is developing within it.

Rumsfeld: Was misunderstood and will be sorely missed

For those who can only bring themselves to believe the BBC guff about the US Secretary of Defense (to spell it the American way!) I can say only one thing: Just take a look at what this great believer of freedom and democracy said after the 7/7 bombings.

"Reports from London are already telling of calm passengers, compassionate strangers, and courageous rescuers. And that too is familiar -- the grace and humanity that contrasts vividly with the hatred and violence of terrorists. The London attacks have a special resonance for the American people -- for America has no stronger or closer ally in the world than Great Britain. We are bound together by a common heritage, a common language, and a deeply shared commitment to freedom. As President Bush indicated earlier this morning, the United States will stand with the British people with unflinching resolve...But if these terrorists thought they could intimidate the people of a great nation, they picked the wrong people and the wrong nation. For generations, tyrants, fascists, and terrorists have sought to carry out their violent designs upon the British people only to founder upon its unrelenting shores. Before long, I suspect that those responsible for these acts will encounter British steel. Their kind of steel has an uncommon strength. It does not bend or break. The British have learned from history that this kind of evil must be confronted. It cannot be appeased. Our two countries understand well that once a people give in to terrorists demands, whatever they are, their demands will grow. The British people are determined and resolute. And I know the people of the United States are proud to stand at their side"

I don't know about you but this brings a conservative tear to my eye and has the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end.

Britain and the world owes Rummy a lot more than they will bring themselves to admit.

Yes To Red Poppies! No To White Poppies!

I was disgusted to see today that a Christian lobby group headed by Jonathan Bartley has suggested that we wear white poppies instead of red ones. They say that we should wear one to support the end of all wars. I say that they are a bunch of hippy loonies who sit around trees singing kum ba yah. May I suggest Mr Bartley that you would be more suited to wearing a white feather rather than a white poppy. I mean Remembrance Day, Remembrance Sunday and the red poppy are all dedicated to remember those soldiers who have died fighting wars for our freedom. If Mr Bartley wants a day to help stop all wars then he should take his white feather (I mean poppy) and his loony friends, go to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />France where they welcome coward losers and set up a day there and stop trying to take our Remembrance Day away from us. His suggestion apart from being insane has two major errors; the first is that there is no such thing as a white poppy, poppies are naturally red. The second is that his suggestion of halting all wars does not allow for just wars. For example in 1939 Britain needed to go to war against Hitler and the Nazis to preserve our freedom which is all well and good. Whereas Mr Bartley would have wanted no war, it doesn’t matter to him that we would have Nazis marching around Britain and monitoring our every move so long as we don’t declare war Mr Bartley would have been happy. And Mr Bartley should be ashamed of calling himself a Christian because Christianity believes that it is the only true religion and all other religions are wrong and should be dispensed off which means war, just look at the crusades. In the end the 11th November is Remembrance Day and the closest Sunday is Remembrance Sunday and I will observe the two minute silence and I will be wearing my red poppy as well.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rightwingery.blogspot.com/2006/11/yes-to-red-poppies-no-to-white-poppies.html' title='Yes To Red Poppies! Iraq rejoices

Couldn't have happened to a nicer despot. Saddam Hussain has a date with the rope after spending the best part of 30 years terrorising his people, his neighbours and world stability. The guy who pompous twat George Galloway saluted for his indefatigability looked dazed and shook as he made a half-hearted show of defiance as the judgement was read out.

All over Iraq people, ordinary oppressed people under Hussain, cracked open the western-produced champagne they now have access to celebrating the imminent date their former tormentor has with the gallows.

What I found both fascinating and depressingly predictable was the BBC reaction to the judgement. They wheeled out John Simpson, the doom-monger himself, to say that Iraq would erupt in sectarian violence at the news. They cunningly cut away from him to show 6 or 7 Iraqi's marching down a street in some Tikriti suburb chanting away with portraits of the newly condemned ex-dictator. As far as mass rallies go it was hardly on a par with the Countryside Alliance a few years back.

They neatly sidestepped the fact that all across the Shia and Kurd regions of this country people were celebrating in their millions.

The BBC (what an embarrassment they are to the notion of impartial broadcasting) then suggested that Saddam would prefer to be executed than sent down for the rest of his life. They announced with all the pompous conviction this Corporation has (in abundance) that Iraq would be worse off with Saddam swinging merrily from his noose. What absurd tripe.

With Saddam gone a brutal, barbaric chapter in their history is now closing for Iraqis. They have a real opportunity to finally move on. For all those who say he would be better of living and breathing when so many Iraqis have perished at his hands I say simply this: Imagine an Iraq without Hussain's shadow looming over them in 10 years time. Will the insurgents and Ba'ath militants still be fighting with such ferocity? Will the defiance shown by Saddam and his cronies still be inspiring Sunnis to blow themselves up in downtown Baghdad?

Or perhaps the memory of Saddam Hussain will be merely that, a memory. In 10 years Iraq will most probably be a stable and prosperous country, the first true Arabian democracy. If Hussain was still alive and in prison the insurgents talisman would still be alive. Their violent goals could still be achieved, fresh in the knowledge that every dead civilian shot on Iraqi streets would be met with a tactile welcome by the man these insurgents and Ba'athists still consider to be their head of state.

Saddam will soon be joining the other deluded Islamic 'martyrs' who have spent a lifetime plotting and carrying out the deaths of innocent people. If he seriously thinks 72 virgins await for him I suspect he will be sorely disappointed.

I hope he burns in whichever hell his religion chooses to send him.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rightwingery.blogspot.com/2006/11/saddams-toast-iraq-rejoices.html' title='Saddam's toast... He went about doing it in totally the wrong way. Why side with the slippery freaks who voted against the war in the first place? We took a bold move to support sending troops into Iraq in 2002 because we believed there were weapons of mass destruction. Blair made up a shit load of lies to force the vote through parliament and now the Tories are hamstrung. Should we (and I use this term as I am a member and councillor) have used this opportunity, backing those left wing scumbags who care little for the safety of our troops?

Of course not! We should be sensible and do what any right thinking person would do. Stand foresquare behind our troops, campaign for proper armour and weapons (decent boots would be a good start), use our growing influence with other right of centre leaders to bolster the coalition. In short, we should be fighting al-qaeda and the insurgents in Iraq, not squabbling on the same side as Mark Oaten and Alex Salmond.

We have to support our troops; they are doing one hell of a job over there!

So what if the terrorists are being 'dunked'?

In a fit of typical liberal hysteria, the BBC are going mental about the comments US Vice President Dick Cheney has made relating to the methods of interrogation used by the Americans in Camp Delta, Guantanemo Bay, Cuba.

He apparently conceded to a caller on an American conservative right wing radio station in North Dakota that the US was engaged in 'water boarding' as interrogation techniques for detainees at Guantanemo. For those who are not accustomed to the concept of water boarding, it is apparently the blindfolding and chaining of a prisoner followed by pouring buckets of water slowly over their face, simulating the effects of drowning in a waterfall. This, so I am reliably informed, brings a rush of claustrophobia to even the hardest of hard bastards (I had something similar happen to me at uni, but it involved Jim Bean whisky and I definitely had my mouth wide open!).

In short, if it would make John Rambo crack then a few skinny, bearded Islamic extremists wouldn't stand a chance.

Cheney didn't actually say that this was a common practice amongst the intelligence services; he merely agreed that next to ramming planes into skyscrapers this would pale by comparison. However, even if he had gone on the record to say that both he and President Bush were aware such techniques were being used I would have to ask: so what?!

I am really very interested by the entire concept of extraordinary rendition of suspects to Guantanemo, their treatment when incarcerated and the duration of their imprisonment. This country should be grateful America are taking a lead in interning (forcibly in most cases) suspected terrorists or Al-Qaeda operatives. We are fighting a war on terror, not playing a round of doctors and nurses. Evil bastards need to be apprehended, and when they are caught they need to provide intelligence to catch more terrorists.

We can never know just how many innocent lives have been saved by the intelligence gathered by the US at Guantanemo. We all hear the sickening BBC news about how many 'Brits' are incarcerated there, but given a choice of having the shoe bomber in an all orange jumpsuit having water poured all over him or sat next to me on a trans-Atlantic flight I think I know which option I prefer!

Interrogation happens, that is a fact of life. If the US are using original, even semi-torturous means of getting information out of dangerous scum who despise everything the western world stands for, then I am all in favour of it.

Could we really be 14% ahead of Labour?

Well I almost choked on my Crunchy Nut Cornflakes this morning; the Tories had pulled into a 10-point lead in the latest ICM opinion poll. Closer examination of the statistics showed that the actual lead is nearer 14%, but the pollsters revised the figures downwards by 4% to take into account the shy Labour voters who are just too embarrassed to admit to supporting the government.

But are we really so far ahead?? I don't believe so. It is obvious that we are more popular than Labour; Pol Pot was more popular at the UN than Blair and Prescott et al are with the country at the moment. The reason why Labour won't be too pissed with this news is that we are in classic mid term blues territory. Governments have always been used to seeing the opposition surge into mid term leads, only for the electorate to come crawling back to them at election time. The same is true here.

The first two Blair terms were freaks of political nature. Not only was this country totally hoodwinked by the most incompetent and immoral bunch of charlatans British politics has ever seen but the opinion polls continued to show big leads for the Labour government. We are now settling down into more reliable political territory.

The big question is how long this lead can be sustained. If we see a similar lead running beyond the next local elections in May it is entirely likely that Davey C could actually be onto something good. Until then the jury is still definately out!

Why we should be backing a Democrat win next month

The Republicans are in trouble over the pond. They are projected to get hammered in the House of Representatives and potentially lose control of the Senate to the Democrats. Silly individual errors of campaigning judgement, like that of George "Macaca" Allen and Rick "blatant lies" Santorum mean that the Republicans are just all over the place. Elizabeth Dole, in her role as chairman of the Republican's Selection Committee for the senatoral elections, has dropped all manner of clangers by selecting campaigning illiterates to fight key seats (look at Katherine Harris). And this is just the Senate!

It is increasingly likely that the American liberals are back on the march, and that should terrify countries like ours. If the origin of the war on terror are ready to back a bunch of lilly livered defeatists then, surely, anything is possible in places like Britain. Thankfully the US Democratic party has 'done a Blair' and totally reconfigured their outlook and personell. With the exception of the Lieberman situation in Conneticut the majority of Democrat candidates for the Senate and House are fiscal conservatives, attacking President Bush from the right of the economic scale.

Unthinkable, surely? Well no... Bush has spent a hell of a lot of money. In fact he has splashed out so extravagantly that the US are having to borrow money from, wait for it... China! Despite the relative strength of the US economy the one big hole it has found itself in is with the amount of debt it has got into. On the face of it, however, the Republican administration has been thoroughly competent. They have reduced taxes, taken proactive measures to improve and increase homeland security. Any incoming Democratic administration would have to water their anti-business and competitiveness Bills down to ensure the President signed them off, so there shouldn't be too much damage done.

The big advantage of having the Senate and/or House go Democrat at this time is the sort of people the US will be putting into power. The Chairman of the Democratic Party is one Howard Dean! We all know what happened to him when he last got a sniff of power! YYYYEEEAAAHHH!!

The Democrats are choc full of freaks and sweaty wierdos. It would do any prospective Republican presidential candidate the power of good having 2 years of liberal namby pamby crap governing the country. At the moment the Democrats can blame the Republicans for just about anything; they have been out of power for so long. If they were part of the decision making process such accusations would fall on even the most liberal of ears in 2007.

I hope the Democrats win something in November. The Republican future of the White House could be at stake!

Cutting taxes is Right!

How do you know when you've hit upon a really good idea? Simple, when Labour wheel out the most indistinguishable minister in the history of government, Ed Balls, to savage it. Today, whilst surfing the internet (hasn't he got a job to do?) the Economic Secretary to the Treasury stumbled upon the Conservative Party's tax commission proposals.

These plans call for numerous cuts in taxation to reverse the horrendous damage Labour have done to our wallets in the last 10 years. All in all £21billion is due to be given back to us, the taxpayer, if the Tories win the next election. Income tax will be cut by two percent to 20% (basic rate). The lower 10% rate will be abolished and a swathe of corporate and business taxes will be reduced.

This is my kind of document!

Over the last 10 years or so the amount of money removed forcibly by Gordon Brown from us has shot up. We are the most taxed and regulated in this country than we have ever been. The billions poured into the public sector has made hardly a jot of difference; so why carry on with the huge tax levy?

Lord Forsyth was a relatively good minister when he was an MP, but he has shot up in my estimations by leading the commission that has authored this report. Now David Cameron has some key decisions to make. Does he cow to the liberal media and Labour ministers like the cretinous Ed Balls, or does he show some steely determination and adopt these proposals?

The choice, Mr Cameron, is yours.

The General is wrong

The British army are working absolute wonders in Iraq. I have to start by saying that. Compared to the useless Americans patrolling the majority of Iraq's hotspots we are providing the acceptable face of the Allied powers. Brits patrolling Basra and other areas of the south in Iraq are helping rebuild schools and hospitals and stub out the rampant crime lords who have sought to profit out of Saddam's fall.

We are aiding, indeed leading, the re-civilisation of Iraq.

This week the Chief of the General Staff, Sir Richard Dannatt, suggested that we should remove our troops from Iraq. He cited the enhanced level of potential violence to British property and subjects by radical wings of Islamic fundamentalism as a result of our continued presence in Iraq and suggested that we should remove our troops as soon as possible.

I totally disagree with him.

We have made our own bed in Iraq and are making huge strides in stabilising the part of the country we are charged with patrolling and defending. Blair and his cronies blatantly disregarded the preparations for a post-Saddam State. They also forgot to plan a proper exit strategy and counter insurgency measures. This is the fault of a government that has no practical experience in fighting global conflicts. Merely withdrawing our forces would be an insult to the noble principle of freeing an oppressed people from the shackles of their dictatorial masters. It would also be a grotesque admission that those brave servicemen and women killed in action died in vain. Iraq would descend into utter, utter anarchy.

Britain's reputation used to be one built on fear. The Empire was an exporter of civilisation and when the globe featured British influence in over a fifth of it's surface no-one even considered crossing the might of the Crown. These days our (diminishing) hold over a once proud reputation lays with the economic might Maggie Thatcher built up in the 80's. Our standing in the world bears little practical relation to our involvement in Iraq or Afghanistan. Nor does it have any real connection to the close relationship we have with the American administration; this is a popular myth that exists merely to lampoon President Bush and excuse our domestic weakness with the 'multicultural' experiment.

With every day we stay in Iraq and Afghanistan terrorism suffers. Each day a former terrorist state re-civilises itself is a nail in the coffin of those murdering bastards who believe they can dictate world events by murdering as many people as they can cram into a passenger plane.

I passionately believe in the neo-conservative US foreign policy. We have spent far too long appeasing those who have not a peaceful bone in their bodies. We keep trying to buy ourselves time with North Korea, Iran and Syria. They are taking absolutely no notice of the UN, the EU, the French foreign ministry or any other hand-wringing apologists. They are just laughing at us.

The only rhetoric these extremists and despots understand is that of the sword. To retreat now would be reprehensible. The General should stay and fight.

Humourless prick

As far as satire goes it was hardly 'Yes Minister'. Labour MP for Birmingham Erdington Sion Simon's attempted piss take of David Cameron's rather novel (and at times totally crap) 'webcameron' idea has backfired in a truly remarkable fashion. If you have not already seen this cretinous effort then click here, but be prepared to wince (it is that bad!).

This guy is a little turd of a man who's face makes me want to physically slap him. He is the typical example of what is bad in politics today. What on earth was this guy trying to prove? What must ordinary voters think their representatives do with their hefty wages paid by them?

I remember reading Sion Simon when he used to write for the News of the World. I actually sighed with relief when the twat told his grateful audience that he was leaving to pursue a political career. My only hope back in 2001 was that he wouldn't try to get into the Conservative Party; I hated the nob that much and couldn't stand the prospect of having to actually defend him if he mad a prat of himself.

This is one really good reason why I'm not too sharp on the premise of the Tories having an 'A' list of visually pleasing, or semi-famous candidates. If Labour can let this little runt slip through the net it is entirely possible the same could happen to us.

Another Clinton legacy

North Korea have exploded a small plutonium device 800 meters below the surface of a remote forest region in the north west of the country. The region is now beset with panic as the Japs threaten to start investing in a nuclear arms programme of their own. Diplomacy, and the United Nations, has once again utterly and miserably failed. Even China are slowly admitting that they were horribly wrong to support the tyrannical regime in Pyongyang. The world is in near crisis.

Another legacy of President Clinton's disastrous tenure as the leader of the free world.

I can remember seeing the pictures of mad Madeline Albright sipping drinks with the North Korean dictators when she visited as Clinton's Secretary of State. Those pictures made me revile that woman. Whilst she was getting cosy with the top brass in ornately furnished government houses, millions of ordinary Korean peasants were starving to death.

Whilst Clinton was content to prop up this repressive dictatorship President Bush has attempted to take measures to get rid of it. As soon as he entered the White House diplomatic niceties with North Korea ended. The shutters came down.

Some sections of the media, including some scrote-like apologist for these commies I heard on BBC News 24, are accusing the Bush administration of being in some way responsible for North Korea's sabre rattling because they ratcheted up the condemnation of this vile regime. What utter bollocks!

The argument that Kim Jong-Il would somehow cancel his nuclear ambitions indefinitely because Albright gave him a basketball signed by Michael Jordan is, quite honestly, laughable. Bush has decided, to his huge credit, that ordinary people deserve to live with a modocum of human dignity. He should be applauded for drastically altering US foreign policy towards North Korea.

Now we will see a real test of Bush's mettle. My belief is that we should have forcibly removed Mugabe and Kim Jong-Il before we even considered taking of Saddam. With US military resources stretched the armed option is no longer viable. The UN and international community are so weak that their participation in any military adventure would be counterproductive (remember Srebrenica?) so it falls to the economic route of action.

Sanctions will devastate this country's population. An impoverished people will become totally destitute. China will doubtless see a huge influx of North Koreans over their border. But in the long run this might, just might force the leadership into a corner.

Thanks to Clinton-ian policies of the mid 90's any option is likely to be painful. For the evil communist regime in charge, however, difficult days lay ahead. Bush is on their case!

Paul Hunter

I'm sure most people would have heard about snooker star Paul Hunter's battle with cancer by now. Sadly this brave and talented Yorkshireman lost this battle yesterday. I am gutted at the news and by the sheer unfairness of it all.

Here we have a successful sportsman with a young, glamerous wife and lovely baby daughter; the classic young family unit. The guy worked hard, practiced relentlessly and paid his taxes. He hardly had a bad word to say about anyone and was a genuinely good guy.

It riles me that cancer has struck him down in his prime when we have such scum walking our streets in perfect health. Why can paedophiles and muggers live to 80 without doing a stitch of work or paying any taxes? Why can the killers of Damilola Taylor happily draw breath after what they have done? Why can these mad clerics grow old and grey spouting inciteful hatred?

I'm not a religious bloke, though I would like to think there is something omnipitant out there. I cannot, however, believe that religion can be particularly well marketed to those who don't believe in God after this. If I were considering adopting a religion I would have serious second thoughts after considering this news. Can God possibly exist when evil bastards intent on being idle and workshy whilst at the same time raping and mugging can walk the streets until old age when people like Paul Hunter only get to 27?

Depressing, very depressing.

Prisoners.. who cares about them??

Listening to John Reid bleat on about the imminent reaching of our prison capacity really fills me with rage. When the last decent Home Secretary, Michael Howard, was advocating building more prisons under the mantra 'Prison Works' the Labour Party whined that this was counter productive and that society should work to keep criminals out of the klink.

Now, after 10 years of trying to pander to every liberal instinct they could find, John Reid has discovered that liberal law enforcement does not work. Halle-fucking-luiah. Maybe the government should charge the emergency costs of building new prisons to Polly Toynbee and her freakish mates in the Guardian?

It's obvious that the stupid 'solutions' of the Left and their 'intellectuals' is totally discredited. Prison does work, it must do on a practical level! If they are in prison they are, errr, not on the streets offending! If there are 100,000 people in the UK with a criminal intent then there should be a prison capacity of 100,000.

I live in a city with a pretty big prison, and no-one really likes it being there (well you wouldn't, would you?!). Nimbyism is always going to be a political problem for any government looking to build new prisons. So why not find a remote hebridean island to build a US style super-prison? Those committing serious crimes who need to be in a high category prison shouldn't be afforded any benefit of being near their families or whatever their excuse is for being moved around the UK. Get them on a windy, rainy and thoroughly isolated hole and keep them there.

It would solve the crisis in our prison capacity and could also send out a stronger signal of deterrence to those who choose to take themselves out of civil society.

Here's something I never thought I'd say...

... but I actually agree with what is written in The Independent today. They correctly observe the odd phenomenon of a traditional Tory press that doesn't seem to be able to cotton onto what their readers are thinking. It is a time-honoured tradition that newspapers mould public opinion in order to influence policy.

For the last week the traditional Tory press has been cool to the verge of cold in its coverage of the Conservative conference in Bournemouth. Everything from the new logo to tax cuts has been criticised. The non-Tory press, much smaller in circulation, have been fairly neutral or, in the Independent's case, rather supportive. Years ago, before the advent of 24 hour news media, the public would only have the printed press to go by when it came to coverage of these conferences. Today this is totally different and a working class, 9-5 conservative inclined voter would be able to watch coverage of the conference on freeview, the internet or even (if they were that interested) podcasts. Times have changed and so has the power of the newspaper.

In my rather humble opinion, twats like Simon Heffer and Peter Hitchens are trumped up little turds with a vastly over inflated opinions of themselves. However, what they used to be were influential journalists whose articles could provoke a flurry of replies to the letters page. Those days have seemingly gone. Politicians read newspapers just like you and I, sometimes pandering to their demands. This conference was different to the last two. Each of these gatherings was followed by hugely supportive coverage from the right wing media. Both times we saw a negligable shift in poll ratings.

In fact that has been the case after each of the last 5 or 6 conferences. I can only think of the IDS conference of 2003 when we had a poll bounce, and that one was after a string of extremely negative headlines from the right wing press.

Could it be that the old power the Tory press has had over Conservative Party policy making and intellectual thinking is at an end? If this is the case then David Cameron's policy-light long game is surely working wonders.

Jack Straw... a lefty with balls?

I'm interested by what Jack Straw has had to say about muslims and headscarves. Is it just mere co-incidence that at a time where tensions are so high between ethnic groups in this country, and social conservatism is almost a thing of the past in the Conservative Party, Jack Straw makes these comments?

Today's newspapers are full of the story. The level of reporting and language used by the national press is verging on the inciteful. People read and believe newspapers. For most it is their only view of the world outside their busy lives. They believe what they read as being gospel and when they read an adjacent story in the biggest selling newspaper in the country that proud ex-servicemen are being victimised by muslims people can get very resentful very quickly.

Jack Straw is playing a very clever game; as are the Labour Party. They know that the Tory party are presenting the sort of image traditional supporters find hard to stomach and see a populist opportunity. I have just voted on an online poll (very unscientific, but a barometer of populist opinion nonetheless) for my local commercial radio station. 93% of people agree with Straw.

My parents went balistic last night watching a news item about what is in the Sun newspaper today. People react to statements like Jack Straw's and they get even angrier when they read supporting articles in mass read newspapers.

I must confess that I actually agree with Straw. I had a councillor surgery this morning and I would be hugely discouraged if I were approached by a Niqab wearing constituent. Actually, scrub that last statement, I actually think my reaction would be more intimidated. It pisses me off that you can't walk into a bank or post office with a motorbike helmet on yet you can with a burka. It just isn't fair but we are becoming almost petrified to say so. The reason for this reticence is due entirely to the culture of left wing liberal crap which we have been associated with for the last 10 years.

Is it little wonder I am increasingly hating this country. If people like Jack Straw and Rebekah Wade get their way I'm going to be hating it for a lot longer.

There's a first time for everything.....

Right this is the first blog posting and, as no-one in their right mind will be reading this today, the first blog entry will probably be seen in the archives.

Just to introduce myself... I'm 28 years old, a councillor in a northern District, and totally pissed off with this country. Unfortunately I am a representative of the Conservative Party and, as such, can't really say what I really think in this age of political correctness for risk of having various unpleasant things happening to me and any future career I may or may not have with the party. Unbelievably the worst protagonists for this PC culture are those within our own party. People are scared shitless of saying anything that could be construed as being 'offensive'.

I've just got back from the Tory conference in Bournemouth. It was pretty good, but nowhere near as good as last year in Blackpool. I didn't see David Cameron's speech, which didn't overly concern me. You don't ever go to conferences for the speeches, though. Getting pissed and shmoozing with people you only usually get to see on the telly is infinitely more important a task.

The problem with conferences is that you keep on bumping into people who you invariably hate. That happened so often this last week it is untrue. There were people going around who have only known opposition and who spent their time backbiting against the leadership. I fucking hate those people. Why do they do it?? Blair is totally ruining this country and Maggie ain't coming back! Get used to it and back the leader.
